So I'm actually happy that I got it today in 6. I "wasted" guess 4, in that it could not be the answer, in order to test more letters than I could if I guessed a "good" word, because I could see too many possible words for the remaining guesses if I got certain correct letters.
Interestingly the bot also chose a non wordle word (a plural) for guess 4.
